NEW YORK, NY, June 29, 2023 — The clinical research affiliate of the Lupus Research Alliance, Lupus Therapeutics, launched three pilot research initiatives for Project CHANGE, a community-driven approach to address systemic challenges contributing to the underrepresentation of people of color, particularly Black people, in lupus clinical trials. Emory University in Atlanta, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia are the three sites selected; each is a member of the Lupus Therapeutics Lupus Clinical Investigators Network (LuCIN).
