New York Jets Help Drive Research Forward at 2025 Luncheon and Lupus Awareness Day

It will take a team effort to rack up the ultimate win – a cure for lupus.

That’s why the Lupus Research Alliance is a proud, long-time beneficiary of the generosity of the New York Jets as they champion lupus research and breakthroughs on behalf of the millions impacted by the disease.

This year, football season kicked off with incredible momentum between the Lupus Research Alliance and the New York Jets.

Kicking Off

Starting Strong

On September 14, the New York Jets hosted the Lupus Research Alliance for Lupus Awareness Day to a crowd of 80,000 fans at MetLife Stadium and millions watching at home.

The New York Jets recognize Lupus Awareness Day every fall to bring attention to this challenging disease.  While bringing widespread attention to the disease on the Jumbotron, the game also dedicated its 50/50 raffle to the Lupus Research Alliance, raising more than $50,400 for lupus research. Honorary team captain for the Game Lupus Research Alliance Board member Julius Williams was introduced to the crowd.  The donation from the 50/50 Raffle was presented to the New York City Walk with Us to Cure Lupus Ambassador Stephanie Patti, who has lupus.  Other Lupus Research Alliance Walk with Us to Cure Lupus fundraising teams, partners, and staff were also recognized for their support in the fight against lupus.

Together, the Lupus Research Alliance and the New York Jets are creating an unstoppable force that powers breakthroughs – bringing us closer to a world free of lupus!
