Progress in lupus research is accelerating, bringing new momentum, new possibilities, and new hope to the lupus community.

To help bring these important conversations closer to the community, the Lupus Research Alliance launched the “Hope in Action” fireside chat series exploring the breakthroughs, people, and ideas shaping the future of lupus.

In the first episode, President & CEO Albert T. Roy sat down with nationally renowned physician-scientist and lupus expert Dr. Saira Sheikh, Linda Coley Sewell Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Chair of the Lupus Clinical Investigators Network, coordinated by Lupus Therapeutics, the clinical affiliate of the Lupus Research Alliance.

They discussed emerging treatments, the future of clinical trials, research momentum, and what’s bringing hope to the lupus community today.
