Meet Ali VanderLoop and Ty Majeski—two people driven by a mission to make a difference in the fight against lupus. Ali VanderLoop’s lupus diagnosis in 2023 changed her life, but it didn’t change her determination. Now, Ali and her husband Ty, who is the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series Champion, are teaming up with the Lupus Research Alliance to launch a campaign to #AccelerateLupusResearch for a cure! They are joined by ThorSport Racing, the longest-tenured NASCAR Truck Series team.
Lupus is a chronic, complex autoimmune disease that affects everyone differently and symptoms can change over time. The Lupus Research Alliance drives the discovery and development of treatments, bringing the lupus community closer to more personalized, effective therapies and diagnostics. Ty’s LRA Race Shoes Auctioned for Research!
Throughout Lupus Awareness Month in May, Ty Majeski wore custom-designed Lupus Research Alliance shoes to honor his wife, Ali VanderLoop and the 5+ million people worldwide living with lupus. Ty’s one-of-a-kind shoes were auctioned off, with proceeds supporting LRA’s mission to find a cure.
