2026 TCS New York City Marathon (Entry Request)

    Please carefully read below for runners who wish to receive a guaranteed entry into the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon through the Lupus Research Alliance Team Life Without Lupus.

    RUNNERS WHO WISH TO RECEIVE A GUARANTEED ENTRY FROM THE LUPUS RESEARCH ALLIANCE

    FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT: A $4,000 minimum donation is required to join Team Life Without Lupus and receive an invitational entry for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. If you are accepted onto the team, you will receive the benefits of team membership, which include: a team singlet, complimentary invitation(s) to the team Friends and Family pre-race pasta party, team fundraising support, Haku fundraising platform access, A private WhatsApp group dedicated to team building and member engagement, led by our Fundraising Captain, and race logistics guidance throughout the training program. Once you are on our team, you will receive your Haku fundraising invite where you will submit a credit card to reserve your spot. On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, you must submit at least $600 of donations. If you do not have $600 raised by September 8, 2026, the card on file will be charged to make your fundraising total (at that point) $600. The remaining balance must be submitted by October 1st. On October 1, 2026, the credit card on file will be billed for any balance due to reach the fundraising minimum of $4,000.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: You may cancel your participation with Team Life Without Lupus for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon any time on or before September 1, 2026, which is seven days before the official NYRR registration deadline of September 8. To cancel, you must notify the Lupus Research Alliance in writing (attention: Lana Munoz Abrams) on or before September 1.

    If you cancel on or before September 1, you have three options:

    1. Continue fundraising and defer to next year’s race. You may continue raising funds and defer your entry to the 2027 marathon. The LRA will notify NYRR that you have fulfilled your 2026 fundraising commitment.
    2. Withdraw completely and waive your fundraising responsibility. You may give up your spot to someone on the waitlist and waive the $4,000 fundraising minimum. However, any donations already raised are nonrefundable, and you will not be eligible to defer to the following year’s race.
    3. Find another runner to take your place. You may transfer your spot to another runner (friend family) who will take over your fundraising commitment. Please note that you will not be eligible to defer to next year’s race if you choose this option.

    These three options are only available on or before September 1, as this is also the NYRR deadline for swapping runners.

    If you need to cancel after September 1, you are still required to meet the $4,000 fundraising minimum, even if you are unable to run for any reason, including injury. You will, however, still be eligible to defer your entry to the following year’s race.

    It is important to notify us as early as possible if you know you cannot run so that you can choose the option that best fits your situation.

    MATCHING GIFT POLICY: Many companies match employees' charitable contributions. You can check with your employer to see if your company has this program and ask your donors if their employers match gifts. Many companies issue matching gift checks quarterly or semi-annually, therefore, it is your responsibility to contact the matching company to ensure the check will be issued before October 1, 2026. The donation may not count toward your minimum if the company’s match cycle is past October 1, 2026.

    2026 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON REGISTRATION

    The Lupus Research Alliance will inform you of the details of how to receive your official race number after your Team Life Without Lupus team application is accepted. The TCS New York City Marathon charges an Entry Fee of $255 for NYRR members, $315 for non-members, & $358 for Non-U.S. residents. These fees do not count toward your fundraising commitment and are your responsibility to pay independently of Team Life Without Lupus.

    Tip! NYRR membership is $60 and includes discounts on/to NYRR events and products. If runners plan to do any other NYRR events this year, they can become a member while they register for the TCS New York City Marathon and save on future race registration fees.
