We are proud to share that Brenda Blackmon, an active member of our Board of Directors, was named “Distinguished Friend of the Caribbean” by the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
The award will be given at the Caribbean Tourism Industry Awards gala June 6 at the Wyndham New Yorker (481 Eighth Avenue) during Caribbean Week New York (#CWNY2019).
Ms. Blackmon commented, “I just want to be a friend you can continue to count on. One Caribbean – the places of my fondest memories. “I am so grateful for being presented with the ‘Distinguished Friend of the Caribbean’ award by the CTO.”
Ms. Blackmon founded the Kelly Fund for Lupus, Inc after her daughter was diagnosed with lupus. She has published two books that help build awareness of lupus and raise funds for lupus research through the Lupus Research Alliance.
