Thank you to all advocates who reached out to your congressional office to express your support for continued lupus research funding. Unfortunately, the federal bill signed into law cuts medical research funding at the Department of Defense. While the exact impact on lupus research is unknown at this point, LRA will work to ensure lupus research funding is protected.
Our advocacy is more important than ever, and the 2026 appropriations cycle is our next opportunity to make a difference. In the coming weeks, we will ask all LRA advocates to urge your Representative to sign a letter requesting $15 million for the Lupus Research Program.
