New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, general manager Mike Tannenbaum and head coach Rex Ryan invite you to help the Jets find a cure for lupus.
If you or someone you know has lupus or you simply want to make a difference in someone’s life, form a team and raise funds for the Alliance for Lupus Research's annual New Jersey 5K Walk With Us to Cure Lupus. Johnson is the National Walk Chairman and Tannenbaum and Ryan are Honorary Walk Chairmen.
The 5K (3.1-mile) walk will be held Saturday, May 12, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., and will include refreshments, entertainment and special appearances by Jets players, coaches and alumni. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk is at 10 a.m.
To join the Jets team, visit walk.lupusresearch.org/goto/nyjets. If you cannot join us for the New Jersey 5K Walk With Us to Cure Lupus, please help us in the fight against lupus and support the Jets #SocialWalker at http://bit.ly/socialwalker. The @nyjets will walk on your behalf and tweet updates throughout the event, using #SocialWalker.

The Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR) is a national voluntary health organization based in New York City that was founded in 1999 and is chaired by Robert Wood Johnson IV, a member of the founding family of Johnson & Johnson. By committing millions of dollars to significant lupus research every year and holding nationwide lupus walks to secure additional funding, the ALR is proactively battling lupus.
The mission of the Alliance for Lupus Research is to find better treatments and ultimately prevent and cure systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus), a debilitating autoimmune disease, by supporting medical research.
