Knights hold charity awards

The Knights of Pythias, Benjamin N. Cardozo Lodge held its fifth annual charity awards night at the George Frey Community Center in Fair Lawn on March 10 and handed out more than $30,000 to a range of charitable programs including the following:

Autism Speaks, American Cancer Society, The Alliance for Lupus Research, The Alzheimer's Association, Operation Smile and Save the Children, The Center for Food Action, Camp Sunshine, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Tourette Syndrome Assn., the Care Plus Foundation, and local emergency & first responder groups such as the Fair Lawn C.E.R.T. and Ambulence Corp., the Fair Lawn Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Auxiliary Police, the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad, the Paramus Rescue Squad and C.E.R.T. and the Saddle Brook Ambulance Corp.
