Jets Kick Off Season of Hope

JetsAlways a friend of the ALR, the New York Jets organized two events this September to promote awareness of lupus, as well as funds for research.

The first event — to introduce this season's players — took place on September 2nd at Cipriani Wall Street, and raised more than $650,000.

Robert Wood (Woody) JohnsonTo help build momentum, the Jets opened the Meadowlands Stadium on September 25th for the ALR's Lupus Awareness Day. Before the Jets' kickoff against the Tennessee Titans, ALR staff and volunteers distributed purple lupus awareness bracelets and collected donations from fans entering the stadium gates.
