New York Jets Honor ALR Supporter and Volunteer Joseph Trunfio of Atlantic Health
Joseph A. Trunfio, PhD, president and chief executive officer of Atlantic Health and longtime supporter of the ALR, was honored at the 2008 New York Jets Kickoff Luncheon held on August 27 in New York City. The annual Jets Kickoff Luncheon benefits the important work of both the New York Jets Foundation and the ALR.
Joe experienced the devastation of lupus firsthand when he lost his sister-in-law to this disease. His personal connection to lupus has motivated his great investment in the ALR and our mission. Joe served as the ALR Northern New Jersey Walk corporate chairman in 2007. Through team participation and corporate sponsorship, Atlantic Health has raised nearly $100,000 for ALR funded lupus research.
The New York Jets organization also has strong ties to the ALR. Jets events supporting the ALR have raised over $6 million for lupus research programs!
Thank you to the New York Jets and Atlantic Health for their commitment to the ALR. Special thanks and congratulations to our friend, Joe Trunfio!
