One Love, One Cause: A Caribbean Evening for the Alliance for Lupus Research
The ALR warmed up New York City this November 27th with our very special event: One Love, One Cause.
Manhattan's Gotham Hall was the spectacular setting for a fabulous evening of food, drink, and dancing, all for a good cause: supporting the best lupus research in the world.
We were delighted to honor Judy McGrath, Chairman and CEO of MTV Networks, with the Partners for the Cure Award --presented to corporate leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to supporting the search for a cure -- and Sarah Harrison, Vice President and Executive Health Consultant, AstraZeneca, who received the Tomorrow’s Hope Award --presented to leaders in the pharmaceutical and health fields who demonstrate a vision for the future well-being of humanity. Both honorees spoke movingly about the need for increased support of lupus research.
Multiple Grammy winner Wyclef Jean's performance got everyone moving -- literally! Every single one of the hundreds of guests got on their feet to celebrate the night.
Thanks to all those who supported the event, and special thanks to our event chairs Carrie Cox, Robert Wood Johnson IV, and Robert W. Pittman.
